As an employee of a healthcare facility, you’re responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those receiving care. Healthcare-associated infections can have significant effects on health, safety, and well-being and can even result in death. Unfortunately, these infections are all too common. The good news, though, is that healthcare-associated infections are largely preventable. Preventing the transmission of infections from one person to another is critical. To prevent these infections, you must be familiar with infection control and prevention procedures.
The goal of this course is to provide employees in all healthcare settings with the basics of infection control.
