Subject Matter Expert: Kathy Auberry, DNP, MSN, RN, CDDN
Dr. Kathy Auberry is a registered nurse practicing in the field of intellectual and developmental disability for the past twenty-seven years. Currently, she is a consultant in the field of disability. Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Indiana University School of Nursing for 10 years and as the Director of Health Services/Director of Operations for an organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities experiencing complex health needs for 17 years. Dr. Auberry possesses a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree, and a Master of Science in Nursing ‘Healthcare Leadership with a Focus in Education’, as well as certification in developmental disabilities nursing. Dr. Auberry’s research interest is improving healthcare services for individuals with disability and complex healthcare needs residing within community settings. She is the author of several publications focused on improving healthcare for this population.
